Record Crowd Watches West Team Capture the
2018 U.S. Army All-American Bowl
SAN ANTONIO (Jan. 6, 2018) – The conclusion of the annual weeklong celebration of high school excellence on and off the field saw the West Team emerge victorious in a 17-16 final over the East.
For the second consecutive year an All-American Bowl attendance record was set, with 41,017 fans.
The one point margin of victory is the closest final score in All-American Bowl history.
With the victory, the West Team holds a 10-8 all-time series lead over the East.
Six All-Americans made their college declaration during the live broadcast on NBC: East LB J.J. Peterson (University of Tennessee), West OL Chris Murray (University of California-Los Angeles), West DB Kelvin Joseph (Louisiana State University), East WR Rondale Moore (Purdue University), West DB Brendan Radley-Hiles (University of Oklahoma) and West WR Amon-Ra St. Brown (University of Southern California).
