The Army Strong Zone will feature some of the Army’s elite teams including the Army Combative and K9 teams.

Strength to Heal:

The Army has more than 150 different career opportunities, more than any other service. The Army Strong Zone showcases a variety of these options including Army medicine. Members the renowned Forward Surgical Team from the Army’s premier medical post at Fort Sam Houston can show you how they help save lives while you explore the Mobile Medical Hospital and Medical Stryker vehicle.

In addition to full-time and educational opportunities, representatives from the Army Reserve are also on-hand to discuss how you can pursue your civilian education and/or career, while gaining valuable training and leadership skills through Army service.

Strength on the Move

If you have you ever wondered what Army Basic Training is like, Strong Zone visitors can test their physical stamina and discover what it takes to be Army Strong with Army Drill Sergeants. Visitors can also see what Army Strong life is like in today’s more agile and mobile Army by taking a stroll in the American Soldier Adventure Van or by jumping in the cockpit of an Apache Helicopter simulator.

Strength Through Technology

Army Soldiers aren’t just physically strong; they are mentally strong and equipped with some of the most elite technology in the world. The Army Strong Zone provides you with the opportunity to see this technology in action and speak to Soldiers about what it takes to be a part of America’s strongest team!

The U.S. Army believes in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) and Strength through Education.  STEM education is an approach to learning where rigorous academic concepts are coupled with real-world lessons as students apply science, technology, engineering, and mathematics in contexts that make connections between school, community, work, and the global enterprise.

The Strong Zone features technologies including night vision, advanced robotics and command and control multi-touch enabled technologies (COMET).

New this year, the Zone will also feature a robotics competition beginning Friday morning where students from across the country will compete in an interactive competition using their STEM skills.

In addition to technology, the Army Strong Zone provides family fun and entertainment. Younger All American Bowl fans can check out bounce houses, bungee runs, inflatable football tosses and more.
