Biography: Dayne Crist has a cannon of an arm and runs the ball especially well for his size. He has an ideal college quarterback frame, although he needs to continue to develop consistency in the passing game. He bounced back from a potential career-ending injury and finished with a strong junior season.

Crist threw for 1,270 yards and 17 touchdown passes with only three interceptions in seven games for Sherman Oaks (Calif.) Notre Dame, and was named a first team all-state underclass pick in 2006. He also rushed for 400 yards and four touchdowns. He missed five games in the middle of the year after suffering a scary back injury in the opener, but returned to lead the Knights to the quarterfinals of the Pac-5 Playoffs. He threw five touchdown passes against Bishop Amat and threw for 292 yards against Long Beach Poly.
